Chicago-based contemporary pop realist artist, Latia Jackson, also known as Afro Picasso, is a bold new face in the art world. The work she creates is the result of years spent honing her self-taught artistic skills while studying the techniques of past and contemporary artists. A graduate of Governors State University with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and a minor in Creative Writing, Latia is a credentialed, creative, and bold artist with a sharp focus on building a sustainable brand. Throughout her years she has acquired several artistic accolades and aims to promote diversity in art, specifically focusing on the black experience.
